Motorola’s Edge 60 series is now in the spotlight, and we’ve got our hands on the Motorola Edge 60 — the standard variant in the lineup that still packs a strong punch. While it shares many of the premium features seen on its “Pro” sibling, the Edge 60 makes subtle compromises to offer a balanced experience at a more accessible price point. Let’s take a closer look at what makes this device stand out.
Premium Design with a Refreshing AestheticThe Motorola Edge 60 arrives in a scented box, a unique touch that aligns with the phone’s Pantone color finishes — including leather-like Shamrock Green, sandpaper-textured Plum Perfect, and fabric-inspired Gibraltar Sea. The box includes a color-matching hard case, USB-C cable, and SIM ejector tool.
Design-wise, the Edge 60 mirrors the Pro variant with its quad-curved frame, offering a sleek, ergonomic hand feel. In an era dominated by flat-edged phones, this curvature adds a distinct aesthetic flair.
Performance and Hardware: A Balanced PackageWhile the Edge 60 Pro features the high-end Dimensity 8350 Extreme, the standard Edge 60 is powered by the 2.5GHz Dimensity 7300 — a capable chip suited for everyday performance and moderate multitasking. It is paired with up to 12GB of RAM and 512GB of storage, ensuring smooth app handling and ample space.
A key difference lies in the battery: the Edge 60 houses a 5,200mAh unit, slightly smaller and capped at 68W wired charging (versus 90W and wireless on the Pro). The Pro also gains an extra AI button, which is missing here.
Despite these changes, both models retain IP68/IP69 certification and MIL-STD-810H durability, meaning rugged use won’t be an issue.
Display and Audio: Flagship-Level ExperienceThe Edge 60 shares the same 10-bit OLED display as the Pro variant, delivering 1 billion colors, HDR10+, and a 120Hz refresh rate. The display’s sharpness and vibrancy set a high benchmark in its class. Complemented by Dolby Atmos-tuned stereo speakers, media consumption on the Edge 60 is a delight.
Initial ImpressionsThe Motorola Edge 60 combines design innovation, flagship-tier visuals, and balanced internals in an elegant package. It may not carry the extreme horsepower of the Pro, but it certainly delivers a refined, premium experience in both look and feel.
Motorola’s focus on making phones that feel “special” is once again evident here — a clear sign that the brand is intent on standing out in a sea of sameness.
