C.J. Stroud and the Houston Texans are gearing up for a crucial Week 5 showdown against the Baltimore Ravens , hoping to spark an offense that has struggled early this season. With Baltimore ’s defense battered and underperforming, Stroud and top receiver Nico Collins see an opportunity to turn things around and make a statement on the road.

Will C.J. Stroud play today?
Yes, C.J. Stroud will be playing against the Baltimore Ravens today. The Houston Texans are heading into their Week 5 matchup against the Baltimore Ravens with renewed determination and Stroud at the center of it all. While Stroud has already faced Baltimore three times in his short career, the Texans quarterback insists that this time will be different.

“We’re a new team,” Stroud told reporters ahead of Sunday’s game. “It’s a new season, new circumstances. It’s just new.”

Stroud’s confidence comes as the Texans aim to reignite an offense that has yet to hit its stride this season. Houston ranks 29th in scoring and 25th in total offense, a surprising regression for a team that made strides in 2024. Wide receiver Nico Collins, who averaged 85 yards per game last season, has seen his production dip to just 65 yards per contest. Still, he’s focused on something bigger than stats.

“The franchise hasn’t had a win at Baltimore in a while, so that’s a challenge to us,” Collins said. “That’s a challenge to the organization to go out there and just have fun, and go get that win that we’ve been inching towards for years.”

Derrick Henry could be Baltimore’s biggest weapon against Houston

On the other side, the Texans defense, ranked first in the league in scoring, faces its own challenge: containing Derrick Henry. Now with Baltimore, Henry has long tormented Houston, racking up 1,578 rushing yards and 13 touchdowns in 15 career games.

With Cooper Rush filling in for the injured Lamar Jackson, expect the Ravens to rely heavily on their star running back. Henry’s recent three-game stretch of just 31 carries suggests he’s due for a breakout performance and Baltimore might unleash him against a familiar foe.
