Randy Orton vs Kevin Owens happening at Saturday Nights' Main Event: Reports

Send Push
After turning on both of his best friends Randy Orton and Cody Rhodes , Kevin Owens ’ Heel turn has officially taken place. With tensions boiling over between former best friends Orton and Kevin, a blockbuster contest is on the cards sooner than later between the two. Now according to Dave Meltzer , that might happen at Saturday Nights’ Main Event , which will go live on NBC, on December 14th.
Kevin attacks both his best friends
Kevin Owens attacked Cody Rhodes after the end of Bad Blood, when the two were having a heated discussion, outside the State Farm Arena, Atlanta. Following that, on the next episode of SmackDown, Kevin also attacked Randy Orton, who wanted to play the peacemaker between Cody and Kevin. Now, according to Dave Meltzer, the two former World Champions might collide soon, at the Saturday Nights’ Main Event. While having a discussion on “Wrestling Observer Radio”, Meltzer said that the two former friends might collide in a non-wrestling style bout, to keep it real and raw.

An explosive match on the cards
“They want to make it like ‘ This is not part of the pro wrestling entertainment aspect of the show. They want it to come off like “This is a shoot, this is real.” I think Saturday Nights’ Main Event, not official, but I think that’s where it’s going to be.” Stated Meltzer, on the Wrestling Observer Radio . Now this would be a mouthwatering clash between Orton and Kevin, as we know best friends can turn into bitter foes when tensions boil over between them. Knowing Randy, he would be delighted about this idea.

Since Owens is famous for turning on his friends, this would be a continuation to that trait of the “Prizefighter”. The storyline gets even more intriguing, with the addition of the Cody Rhodes angle in it. Who would you like to see win in this matchup between Orton and Owens? Leave your comments below.
