Lalit Manchanda, who was seen on the popular TV show Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah, died by suicide on April 21. The actor was found dead in Meerut, Uttar Pradesh, at his home. Lalit Manchanda is known for his appearance in Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah. However, he was also seen on popular shows like Crime Patrol, Kumkum Bhagya, India’s Most Wanted, and more. He has also appeared in several Bollywood movies.


According to reports, Lalit lived with his wife Tara in Meerut. He has a son and a daughter as well. Reports claim that the actor faced a financial crisis that led him to take such a decision. The actor lived in Mumbai for over a decade and later shifted to Meerut, Uttar Pradesh.


Many fellow celebs and fans took to their social media to share their condolences for the actor. Kaise Mujhe Tum Mil Gaye actor Jeetendra Bohara took to his Instagram handle, reacting to the shocking demise of Lalit Manchanda. He wrote, “Bade dukh ki baat hai ki ek kalakaar ki aisi gati hui. He didn’t deserve it. Reasons? No royalty, less payment. Non-trained, unprofessional actor working in very less budget. Emotion ke bazar mein management ki practicality ka involvement. Budgets decreasing instead of increasing in mehengai. Not a right fate for any artist.”
