The journey of Varun and Alia as co-stars began in 2012 when they debuted in the movie Student of the Year.
Both have given performances to be remembered and are quite an off-screen vibrant friend circle, but Varun had earlier revealed that Alia is the "last person" he'd turn to for relationship advice.

He light-heartedly told Filmfare in an old interview, Varun humorously shared that, while he and Alia are close friends, discussing personal relationships isn’t part of their friendship dynamic. He laughed off the idea of asking her for advice, saying, “No, please! I’ll not take that from her either.”
According to Varun, two things make his bond special: it's on shared experiences and support, not involving each other in the romantic worlds of either one.
Varun also playfully revealed how Alia most of the time plays a "mentor" on set, where she breaks up scenes into smaller parts, gives references and even acts out certain parts for him. He joked in jest that if she did not do this at times, he would develop some tension; as if she isn't fully supporting him as a co-star.
They have successfully featured in films like Humpty Sharma Ki Dulhania, Badrinath Ki Dulhania, and Kalank over the years. Their chemistry remains one of the most successful on-screen pairs in the Indian film industry.
Meanwhile, Varun Dhawan is indeed busy with the promotions for Citadel: Honey Bunny featuring Samantha Ruth Prabhu. Alia Bhatt's last release was Vasan Bala’s directorial action thriller 'Jigra'.
