Sai Tamhankar has always been known for her fearless honesty, and in a recent interview with Hauterrfly, the actress, who is currently seen in her recently released film Ground Zero starring Emraan Hashmi, shared some deeply personal reflections about love, betrayal, and the emotional patterns that affect romantic relationships.

Opening up about a past relationship that left a lasting impact, Sai said she was cheated on early in life. “Yes. Of course,” she confirmed when asked if she had ever been betrayed. “I think I've had a very bad relationship very early in my life. And I've learned a lot from it.”

Her takeaway? Brutal honesty and communication are better than burying mistakes. “I also feel that living with one person is slightly unnatural. I mean, openly, like, have the balls to come back and tell your partner that I did this and, you know, make peace with it, both of y'all,” Sai expressed.

She pointed out how unresolved issues often resurface during arguments. “Then, the girl doesn't have to say it in every fight. Girls do this. In every fight, if there's something old... I've done this, that's why I'm voting. She does this, so that shouldn't happen,” she said.

Describing the lingering anxiety that can persist even in committed relationships, she added, “When a relationship happens, that unsettling or that feeling is still alive. It doesn’t really go away.”

Sai was earlier married to visual effects artist Amey Gosavi. The two tied the knot on December 15, 2013, but parted ways amicably in 2015. Though they never publicly revealed the reason for their separation, reports suggest the two have remained on cordial terms.
