Rozlyn Khan remembers her late mother on Mother's Day; says “Even in her absence, her strength lives on in me”

Actor, activist, and cancer survivor Rozlyn Khan fondly remembers her mother this Mother’s Day. Not a day goes by without her thinking of her late mom. Sharing the profound role her mother played in her life, Rozlyn says, “My mother gave me the spine to stand tall, and I owe every bit of my fight and spirit to her. She carried the entire weight of our world on her shoulders and raised us single-handedly with immense strength, discipline, and determination. Without her, it would have been difficult.”

Rozlyn lost her mother a few years ago. She adds, “She passed away in 2016 due to heart and lung failure. As much as I miss her, I’m also thankful she didn’t have to witness me go through the pain of cancer. But even in her absence, her strength lives on in me. On this Mother’s Day, I want to say Happy Mother’s Day to my mom and to all the incredible mothers who love their children beyond limits, beyond conditions, and beyond words. Your unconditional love shapes the world. Without our mothers, we are nothing. And finally, to remember our mothers, we don’t need a particular day—they are with us every moment of our lives.”
