'Never again will I fly @SpiritAirlines . I've flown over 500,000 miles on Delta and have never in my life seen roaches on a plane. this is crazy," wrote Beez, whose post has since received 8M views and 6.9K views. In the clips shared by her, a cockroach could be seen crawling up from the back seat pocket, and another was moving up the side of the plane wall in the crevice of an emergency exit.

In another post, she shared a video of a cockroach moving around the front seat section and added that she was only took the flight as it was the only direct one to the destination.
I'm flying @SpiritAirlines and there is a big ass roach in the Big Front Seat section 🤣🤣🤣 never flying Spirit again! I'm only on here because they were the only direct flight to where I needed to go on this intrastate 30 minute flight. pic.twitter.com/ztdvlz9WyK

Several people responded on the post with shocking and surprising reactions. "i’ve flown spirit for years without an issue—but THIS—i would have caused a scene. they would have needed to do an emergency landing. this is disgusting!" commented a person under the post.
Now @SpiritAirlines y’all should be ashamed!! Roaches???? pic.twitter.com/bsn1uJB24z

Maybe Spirit is trash because no one holds them to a standard. Maybe other airlines can offer what they do.

But roaches on a plane is definitely a no go.
"Oh nah, I genuinely would’ve ended up on the no fly list because I would’ve lost my shit. How people aren’t phased by roaches, I’ll never know. Big or small, it’s a HELL NAH," added another.
Spirit airlines has roaches. 🪳 it’s official. They are the worst airline. https://t.co/Ovn1LOg6iU

Many shared on X that no flight has insects that are found in flights naturally. They usually enter the flight through the luggage of passengers who have these bugs in their homes. "The issue arises because of the clientele of the plane. The more individuals who live in roach infested homes/apartments, the more likely they are to carry bugs on the plane and for a few of those insects to get out of their carryon and scurry around for others to see," wrote a person who claimed to have previously worked with Delta airlines who according to them "does not play when it comes to pests."
I’ll explain how this happens. All planes have some form of pest control. When a plane lands after its final flight at a Hub, companies like the one I worked for (the big O), would have techs waiting at the airport to service them late at night. Roaches, bed bugs and other pests… https://t.co/wnzSvNcQvG

Beez shared on May 12 that she had been given a $60 Spirit Airlines credit by the airline. She even shared a screenshot of their message where the airlines wrote that they "sincerely apologize" for the incident and requested Beez to accept their apologies with the voucher for future travel to any of their destinations. Beez, however, has now vowed not to travel with the airlines again. "I won't be flying Spirit again, one and done for me lol", she wrote.
This is not the first time cockroaches have made an appearance in a flight. These bugs previously were found in the meal of a woman travelling to New York with Air India. Additionally, another person responded to Beez's post with a video where the restraints used for patients in flight had cockroaches roaming through them.
