The Nagaland Board of School Education (NBSE) has announced the results for the Higher Secondary School Leaving Certificate (HSSLC) 2025 examinations today. A total of 16,649 students appeared for the exams across the Arts, Commerce, and Science streams.
Of the total candidates, 13,725 have cleared the exams, bringing the overall pass percentage to 82.44%. Continuing the trend from previous years, girls have outperformed boys, with a pass rate of 85.98%, significantly ahead of the 78.17% recorded by their male counterparts.
Nagaland NBSE HSSLC 2025 results: Stream-wise toppersIn the Arts stream, which saw the largest number of examinees (12,404), 84.05% cleared the exam. Vikhono Senotsu of Government Higher Secondary School, Jotsoma, topped the stream with 481 marks (96.20%).
In Commerce, Arti Kumari from Ram Janaki Higher Secondary School, Dimapur, led with 473 marks (94.60%), helping the stream achieve an overall pass rate of 81.40%.
The Science stream, despite being the toughest, saw 76.54% students succeed, with Snigdha Mukherjee from St. John Hr. Sec. Residential School, Dimapur, securing the top spot with 467 marks (93.40%).

Step 1. Visit the official NBSE website, nbsenl.edu.in.
Step 2. Click on “HSSLC 2025 Result”.
Step 3. Enter your roll number and submit.
Step 4. Download and print your marksheet for reference.

NBSE HSSLC 2025 results: What to do nextThe provision for rescrutiny applications is open until May 10, 2025, at a fee of INR 500 per subject. Students seeking to improve their marks or those with up to four failed subjects can apply for the Improvement or Compartmental Exams, respectively, between May 12 and 17, 2025.
Both exams will be held in June 2025. Mark sheets and pass certificates will be available at respective institutions from May 2 onwards. The NBSE has also confirmed that Migration Certificates will be available for download via the official portal.
