Lucknow: The Uttar Pradesh State Road Transport Corporation (UPSRTC) will recruit 5,000 women conductors on a contractual basis through job fairs. They will be deputed to depots in their home districts and will receive pay equivalent to their male counterparts.
The Corporation will organise job fairs from April 8 to April 17 in different districts. Applicants can also apply on the Corporation's website.
Applicants should either be members of the UP National Rural Livelihood Mission or the UP Skill Development Mission or hold any of the following: an NCC 'B' certificate, an NSS certificate, or a Scouts and Guides 'Rajya Puraskar' or 'Rashtrapati' award certificate.
Additionally, applicants must have passed the Class 12 examination and hold a Course on Computer Concepts (CCC) certificate. Women with NCC, NSS, or Scouts and Guides certificates will receive a five per cent weightage on their Class 12 marks.
