Pune: Three men on a motorcycle snatched two gold chains collectively worth Rs1.50 lakh in the Dehu Road and Chakan areas within half an hour on Wednesday night. Separate complaints were registered with the Pimpri Chinchwad police on Thursday.
On Wednesday around 8:30pm, a 34-year-old housewife from Dehu Road was returning home from a grocery shop. While she was entering her society, three men on a black-coloured motorcycle approached her. The person sitting in the middle tried to snatch her gold chain. When the woman resisted, the man pushed her and snatched her gold chain worth Rs52,000 and drove away. The woman later lodged a complaint with the Dehu Road police.
Within half an hour, the trio struck at Nanekarwadi near Chakan. They snatched a 40-year-old woman's gold chain worth Rs 1 lakh when she was having a walk after dinner. The woman stated in her complaint that the trio were driving on a black-coloured motorcycle, an officer from the Chakan police told TOI.
