No Water Supply In Parts Of Delhi's Outer North District For 18 Hrs From Oct 16-Check Affected Areas

New Delhi: Parts of Delhi's Outer North district will experience a water supply disruption for 18 hours, starting from October 16 at 10 AM. This is due to essential maintenance work involving interconnection works in the 1000 mm diameter Bawana water main connected to the Bawana Water Treatment Plant (WTP).

Affected AreasThe areas impacted by this disruption include:
  • Bawana Village and nearby colonies
  • Sultanpur Dabas Village
  • Pooth Khurd Village
  • Barwala Village
  • Majra Dabas Village
  • Chandpur Village
  • Ward 35 (Kanjhawala) and Ward 36 (Rani Khera), along with their adjoining areas
Residents are advised to store an adequate amount of water in advance to meet their needs during the shutdown period. Additionally, the public is encouraged to use water judiciously during this time. Water Tanker AvailabilityFor those in need, water tankers can be requested via the DJB helpline or the central control room.In another news, Chief Minister Atishi on Tuesday announced that 99 teams will inspect private and government construction sites in Delhi to ensure compliance with dust mitigation measures, as GRAP Stage 1 has been implemented along with other related measures.The Delhi government has initiated strict measures under Stage 1 of the Graded Response Action Plan (GRAP) to improve air quality across the national capital.The Chief Minister Atishi, along with Environment Minister Gopal Rai, held a high-level review meeting on Tuesday with senior officials from various departments, including the Delhi Pollution Control Committee (DPCC), Public Works Department (PWD), Municipal Corporation of Delhi (MCD), Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC), and the Revenue Department.(With agency inputs)
