The UK town with 141 restaurants and dozens of pubs hailed 'most underrated' to buy house

A has been dubbed the most underrated place to buy a house. A study from found Horsforth in is a top spot to move, with a score of 7.05 out of 10.

The report found hidden property gems across the country, using factors including affordability, commuting convenience, crime rates, school ratings, quality of life, and rising house prices. Horsford offers fast commuting times to the centre of Leeds, with just 29 minutes by car and 26 minutes by train.

Its average house price is £328,259, making it much more affordable than trendier areas like Roundhay (£435,245) and Bramhope (£537,503).

The town has 22 coffee shops, 65 bars and pubs, and 141 restaurants within five miles. It also has strong school ratings and a high quality of life, despite having a slightly higher crime rating than others on the list.

Coming in second is Rowley Regis in Birmingham, scoring 6.96 out of 10 and having an average house price of just £206,009. Sutton Coldfield took third place with a score of 6.39 out of 10 and properties at an average price of £394,443.
