The carried on like 'business as usual' after he was met at Kalk Bay Harbour on his final day in South Africa.
Prince William visited Simon's Town Harbour first to meet with volunteers of the National Seas Rescue Institute and hear about their lifesaving work before he headed to Kalk Bay Harbour to meet local fishermen and highlight the contributions of 2023 Abalobi.
But it wasn't long during his visit to Kalk Bay until three noisy protestors joined the crowd of well-wishers who had gathered to meet the future King.
Shouting "go home" and "hand back what your grandmother stole from us", they held a banner that read: "William, you have NO sovereignty in OUR country." But locals were determined to drown the protestors out, shouting: "We love you William" and "You don't represent South Africa".
William ended his four-day visit to South Africa by meeting seaweed businesses from the region to celebrate local innovation. The prince learned about the diverse applications of seaweed in Africa and the potential for it to repair and regenerate the planet.
