has issued an emotional statement tonight in support of Baby Loss Awareness Week.
The Princess of Wales, 42, joined thousands of others in lighting a candle on Tuesday evening at 7pm to remember the lives of babies who were gone "too soon".
The future Queen shared a photo of the candle on Instagram under #WaveofLight, a campaign organised by Baby Loss Awareness Week.
Princess Kate accompanied the photograph with a statement that read: "Baby Loss Awareness Week is such an important moment to support those who have experienced the devastation of baby loss.
"Sending love, strength and hope to anyone affected. #WaveofLight. C."
The poignant statement attracted thousands of likes and comments from people who had experienced their own losses.
An official representing Baby Loss Awareness Week also thanked the Princess for spreading awareness.
The official commented: "Thank you so much for joining us for the 2024.
"Your support means so much to every bereaved family."
Baby Loss Awareness Week runs from October 7-15.
The organisation said the week is a "time to come together, to remember our babies, to raise awareness and to drive change".
