fans have slapped a "10 out of 10" rating on a gripping Nordic noir drama series. The Glass Dome was released on the streaming platform earlier this week and has already become one of the most watched shows in the UK.

The Swedish series is currently sitting in fourth on the list of top 10 programmes on the platform and is proving to be an unmissable watch. Written by Camilla Läckberg, the six-part drama follows criminologist Lejla Ness as she returns to her hometown and becomes wrapped up in the investigation of a missing girl named Alicia (Minoo Andacheh) - who happens to be the young daughter of her friend.

Léonie Vincent stars as titular character Lejla, who realises the case has haunting similarities to her own abduction when she was a child. The dark mystery comes in the wake of Lejla's adoptive mother's death.

Determined to find the missing girl at all costs, Lejla battles with her trauma as she veers closer to the truth about Alicia's kidnapping - and her own. The series also stars Johan Hedenberg as Valter Ness, Lejla's adoptive father, and Johan Rheborg as Tomas Ness, Valter's younger brother.

The synopsis of the show says: "In a village in Sweden, Lejla returns to her childhood home, a place caught between tradition and modernization, causing tension among its citizens. For Lejla, however, her return is overshadowed by something far more dark and intimidating than she ever anticipated.

"As a child, she was held captive in the area by an unknown perpetrator, trapped in a glass dome. Now, another young girl has disappeared without a trace. As Lejla investigates the disappearance, she must also confront her own inner darkness - a part of her past she's tried to avoid.

"Are the similarities between Lejla's past and the girl's disappearance just a chilling coincidence? Or is history repeating itself?"

The series has been awarded a 100% rating on Rotten Tomatoes and has been praised by both critics and viewers.

Movies and Munchies wrote: "Several aspects of the plot are left unexamined, and characters sometimes act contradictory to what's been established, but the storytelling effectively misdirects and twists leading to a satisfyingly dark conclusion."

"This enterprise certainly gets the job done as a whodunit, but it's more tantalizing as a character study; it's at its most gripping when we're in Lejla's head," Collider shared.

Meanwhile audiences have flocked to praise the "10/10" show on social media, with one writing: "Unexpected and brilliant! This thriller has a terrific ending."

A second declared: "Scandi Noir at its finest. The Glass Dome on It's a binge watch. #TheGlassDome #SwedishThriller 10/10."

"A haunting and beautifully crafted Nordic noir," another posted on X.
