A man is threatening to blow up a building in Madrid city centre. The individual, who is covered in blood, is on the third floor of the buiding on Gran Via, in the middle of the Spanish capital city.

The incident is taking place in a multi-story building in a heavily frequented tourist area.
The suspect is believed to be on the third floor and is refusing to leave. Police units and ambulances have been sent to the scene, and specialist negotiators are engaged in attempts to resolve the situation.
