Tom Parker Bowles, the son of , has charmingly disclosed the affectionate moniker his kids use for their grandfather King Charles during a candid chat on Love Your Weekend with
The 49 year old food writer opened up about the unique dynamic within their family, revealing that his children Lola, 17, and Freddy, 14, refer to the monarch as 'Uppa'.
He spoke warmly of the bond they share, noting: "The children, of course, don't really know any different. So 'Uppa', as they call the King, they've grown up with this man that they all love and think is wonderful."
Despite the normalcy of having a king for a grandfather, Tom acknowledged that others often make a point of highlighting Charles's regal role to his children, who are nonchalant in response.
"People ask them and they are like, 'What? It's just Uppa! '," he said, adding humorously, "So yes, I mean, a healthy perspective I think, but you have to keep saying, 'It's the King. Get out your tracksuit bottoms! '."

"She is a really good grandmother so we go down to her house in Wiltshire and that's where we can relax," he shared, before revealing some of her unexpected culinary talents.
Despite describing his mother as a "basic English cook", Tom disclosed that the Queen doesn't adhere strictly to recipes or precise measurements when cooking. He also mentioned she wasn't much of a baker - but did have one standout dish that was a hit with the family, her roast chicken.
In a recent interview with the Express, Tom opened up about how his mother has been coping with her husband's cancer battle, stating "[The] doctor says the treatment is going well. She's tough, my mother."
The King was diagnosed with an undisclosed form of cancer back in February, and briefly took a step back from Royal duties to focus on his health and treatment.
Despite still undergoing treatment, Charles' condition thankfully improved enough for him to resume some public engagements over the past few months, with Queen Camilla steadfastly by his side.
