The third heatwave of the year is about to hit the UK that could mean some hay fever sufferers will be feeling miserable. The Met Office has issued several red "very high" pollen alerts across the country. The forecaster has warned that the heatwave will be "longer lasting", with temperatures set to reach the low 30s.
The Met Office has issued 10 red "very high" pollen alerts, as well as 11 amber "high" alerts across the UK this week. Throughout the spring and summer months, the Met Office publishes a five-day pollen forecast to warn hay fever sufferers when their symptoms may be worse. Hay fever is an allergy to airborne pollen, which is worse between the months of March and September and affected more than 10 million Brits each year. Below is a list of all the "high" and "very high" pollen warnings over the next five days, according to the Met Office:
