GB News host quits in sad announcement and goes back to old job leaving viewers devastated

Adam Cherry has announced his exit from the news channel leaving viewers devastated. He first joined GB News two years ago as an on-air reporter and senior producer on Nigel Farage's show but has since departed the network as he returned to his previous job but as Editorial Director of Guido Fawkes. In a social media post shared on GBN updates the message read: "Adam Cherry leaves GB News @_AdamCherry_ is moving onto pastures new (old?) as he returns to @GuidoFawkes as Editorial Director. His top reporting and warm charisma will certainly be missed by us GB News fans. We wish him all the best for this new chapter!"

Viewers shared their devastation as one person said: "Good luck Adam, will miss you, you did a great job." Another remarked: All the best, @_adamcherry_ . You'll be missed by GBNEWS viewers." A third noted: "Kept that quiet, didn't they? Very sad news for us, but wishing you well in your new/old career, Adam. You will be missed." A fourth commented: "Wow Adam bit of a shock. But good luck in your future endeavours."

A sixth penned: "Good luck Adam, we'll miss you, but no doubt will catch you on Guido."

Adam has since taken to social media and penned a message following his departure on Friday. He wrote: "PROFESSIONAL NEWS KLAXON!

"We're back. In August, I'm returning to @GuidoFawkes as well as growing a number of big new projects as Editorial Director. Working with @RossKempsell and the team, we're about to strap rocket boosters to Guido."

In a follow up post he wrote: "A great two years at @GBNEWS to be capped off with pints this evening in about 15 mins. If you know, you know."

He was swiftly inundated with messages from his colleagues including presenter Alexander Armstrong who wrote: "Huge congratulations mate, you'll be missed at GBN but I know you're going to smash it at Guido!"

Christopher Hope penned: "Good luck to Adam Cherry who is leaving the @GBNEWS lobby team. Rebeca Newnes, Katherine Forster and I will miss him! @_adamcherry_ @forster_k @rebecanqm."

In a candid update Adam shared an update as he returned to his previous company, writing: "I'm excited to say I'm returning to Guido Fawkes, as well as growing a number of big new projects. After two years at GB News, it's time to return to the mischief. That full-body chicken suit won't wear itself.

"But things are changing on the online frontier of new media. Under new Publisher Ross Kempsell, we are about to strap rocket boosters to Guido, as well as grow new projects that are going to take the media and politics by storm. The plans we have in store are ambitious. The team is ready to go."

"I'm proud to be leading this as Editorial Director," he concluded.
