Two on the second anniversary of , and they seem to have divided opinion among royal fans. The impressive Coronation State Portraits of King Charles III and Queen Camilla were unveiled in the Central Hall at the National Gallery on Tuesday. Both Charles, 76, and Camilla, 77, chose their own artists for the portraits.
As revealed by the Palace, the King chose to be painted by Peter Kuhfeld, while the Queen selected Paul S. Benney. Both artists were already known by Their Majesties after contributing to other royal commissions. While both the King and Queen seemed delighted with the portraits today, not all royal fans are pleased with the results.
On X, many fans have praised the portrait of Queen Camilla, however not everyone seems to have the same view when it comes to the portrait of King Charles.
One fan wrote on X: "I think the king should have gone with the same artist as the Queen."
A second said: "I'm not sure why The King's portrait is blurry, but both portraits are quite interesting."
Another person commented: "Queen Camila's is 10 times better than the King's one."

While some fans seem less impressed with the portrait of the King, this is not the case for everyone, with lots of fans complimenting both the works of art.
One royal fan wrote on X: "They're both absolutely brilliant!"
Another said: "Fabulous portraits."
A third wrote: "Beautiful portraits, the King is as handsome as ever and the Queen is stunning."
The portraits will be on display at the National Gallery from May 6 until June 5, before being moved permanently to the Throne Room at Buckingham Palace.
