Coronation Street fans have predicted that one character will face more drama after a huge twist. Asha Alahan (Tanisha Gorey) has continued to struggle in the aftermath of her attack on the ITV cobbles.
A nasty patient, called Naomi, inflicted a vicious verbal and physical attack on the young paramedic. Asha was pushed to breaking point after being subjected to racist abuse from the drunken woman. But it wasn't the only run-in that the two had. Asha spotted Naomi, who was hosting a careers fair, while visiting a hotel for lunch with her dad, Dev. She bravely approached Naomi and reminded her of how she was only trying to help her when she was drunk, but in return was abused and spat on. However, Naomi claimed not to remember what had happened and warned Asha against making allegations, leaving her feeling lost and upset

Bernie got wind of the vile interaction and decided to take matters into her own hands, after learning from Kit that it would be difficult to bring charges against Naomi as there's no evidence except for Asha's word.
The concerned step mum headed to the conference where she found Naomi's laptop unattended and decided to add her own slide to the presentation. She wrote: "I'm a massive racist," so that it showed on a large screen behind the speaker when she eventually took to the stage.
Bernie explained to the shocked audience how Naomi abused Asha, while Nina and Amy film what's happening on their phones. While the Corrie character seemed so proud of herself, fans at home only predicted more doom and gloom for poor Asha.
Taking to X/Twitter, one fan commented: "Oh Bernie. You do have a knack for making everything worse. (That was funny though) #Corrie."
Another echoed: "Oh Bernie!!! Gonna make it worse for Asha now!!! #corrie." One more added: "Bernie has made things worse but she did the right thing defending Aasha. #Corrie."
However, later in the episode it was actually revealed that Bernie had landed herself in hot water. Naomi barged into No. 7 and announced that she's suing Bernie for defamation.
Coronation Street airs on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays at 8pm on ITV1 and streams on ITVX.
