It was revealed earlier today that A-lister , 72, was slapped with a formal warning from bosses over using "unacceptable" language towards fellow housemate JoJo Siwa, 21. In the episode airing tonight (April 9), Mickey will be caught on camera asking the Karma singer: "Do you like girls or boys?" Following her disclosure that her partner identifies as non-binary, Mickey quips: "If I stay longer than four days, you won't be gay anymore." Later, he makes a shocking comment to Chris about evictions that spark repercussions from bosses. He tells Chris: "I'm going to vote the lesbian out real quick."
Upon eavesdropping, JoJo said: "That's homophobic if that was your reasoning," Chris Hughes then admonishes Mickey, telling him that such language is unacceptable. After Mickey asks about the location of the smoking area, he casually says: "I need a fag.", reports the Mirror. Gesturing to JoJo, he adds: "I'm not talking to you." Chris again calls him out, with Mickey replying: "I know. I was talking about a cigarette."
Following this incident, Mickey receives a summons to the Diary Room by Big Brother where he faces a serious caution.
As Big Brother recounts the events back to Mickey, he is questioned on his awareness of how offensive his terms might be to fellow housemates or viewers. Acknowledging the potential impact, Mickey admits: "Yeah I think so. If I was saying it in a nasty kind of way or if I truly meant it," before being dealt a formal warning.
It's made clear that any further misconduct or language of similar ilk could result in his expulsion from the Big Brother abode.
