Rain, Lightning To Hit Bhubaneswar, Cuttack & 10 Odisha Dists This Afternoon; Yellow Alert By IMD

Bhubaneswar: Rain coupled with thunderstorm and lightning is likely to lash ten districts of Odisha, including Bhubaneswar and Cuttack cities, on Monday afternoon, the India Meteorological Department (IMD) said in a nowcast warming.

In a message issued at 1.05 pm, the IMD sounded a yellow warning for Jagatsinghpur, Cuttack (including Cuttack city), Kendrapada, Kandhamal, Rayagada, Malkangiri, Khurda (including Bhubaneswr city), Ganjam and Gajapati districts.

Light rain or thunderstorm and lightning may occur in these districts during next three hours.

People have been advised to keep a watch on the weather for worsening conditions.
