Kamala Harris at 60 Questions Trump's Fitness for Presidency at 78

Vice President Kamala Harris celebrated her 60th birthday on Sunday amid a heated election race against 78-year-old Donald Trump. With just over two weeks until the November 5 election, Harris addressed a congregation in Georgia, encouraging them to uphold values of compassion, contrasting these ideals with the divisive rhetoric from her Republican opponent.

Harris gave her speech at a Baptist megachurch near Atlanta, where the congregation sang "Happy Birthday" to her. Though she did not mention Trump directly, her remarks clearly targeted his campaign tactics.

“Where we go from here is up to us as Americans and as people of faith,” Harris said during her address. “What kind of country do we want to live in—a country of chaos, fear, and hate, or a country of freedom, compassion, and justice?” Her words aimed to energize the crowd, who represent a demographic that traditionally leans Democratic.

Georgia has become a key battleground state in this election, with both candidates scheduling major events there and in Pennsylvania. Harris stressed the importance of voting, calling it "shining the light in moments of darkness."

Trump’s campaign has taken on an aggressive tone, with the former president using inflammatory language to rally his supporters. He has made derogatory remarks about undocumented migrants and often portrays a grim vision of America that he alone can fix.

Throughout the campaign, Harris has questioned Trump’s fitness for office. At a rally in Atlanta on Saturday, she criticized his reluctance to engage in debates and his erratic speeches. “Now he’s ducking debates and canceling interviews because of exhaustion,” she remarked, drawing a contrast between their campaign approaches.

Meanwhile, Trump has made unusual comments at his rallies, with some of his remarks being seen as strange by attendees. Despite this, polls show a close race with neither candidate holding a significant lead.

Harris has also challenged Trump on the issue of health and stamina. On October 12, she shared a report confirming her "excellent health," prompting Trump's team to declare that he, too, is “in perfect health to be Commander-in-Chief.” Trump, on the other hand, mocked Harris, claiming she "doesn’t have the energy of a rabbit" during a lengthy speech in Pennsylvania.

As the campaign heads into its final days, both candidates are focusing on key states like Pennsylvania and Georgia. Harris is receiving support from prominent artists like Lizzo and Usher, while Trump continues to rally his base.
