For years now Olaplex has been the go-to for hair stylists and at-home haircare fans alike, thanks to its bond-building, hair-strengthening results. However its price point has been a sticking point for some, who can’t quite justify the splurge or are worried about splashing out and not seeing the results they’d hoped for.
That’s why this new deal is the perfect way to try out five products from Olaplex’s range on your tresses, and you can get them all for £4. The Strong Start Hair Kit is usually priced at £28 but is currently on sale down to £21 on Olaplex’s website, and with five different items in the set that works out at just £4.20 each.

The Strong Start Hair Kit contains three of the brand’s best-selling hair products, with all five items ideal for creating hair that’s longer, stronger and healthier. The set takes you through all stages of your haircare routine, from pre-wash treatments to shine-boosting finishing oils, making sure you leave each hair wash day with hair that’s soft and glossy.

Although you won’t be getting full sized items, each bottle gives you enough for several uses so you can see how your hair responds to it and to get a feel for how effective it is on your hair type. Not to mention the smaller sizes make them perfect for travelling with, with each bottle small enough to go through security in your hand luggage.
The Strong Start Hair Kit contains:No.3 Hair Perfector (30 ml)
No.4 Bond Maintenance Shampoo (30 ml)
No.5 Bond Maintenance Conditioner (30 ml)
No.6 Bond Smoother (20 ml)
No.7 Bonding Oil (7.5 ml)
To create the perfect routine, start with the No.3 Hair Perfector, which you apply to your hair before shampooing. Then, use the No.4 Bond Maintenance Shampoo and No.5 Bond Maintenance Conditioner just as you would in your usual hair wash regime, with both hydrating and smoothing your hair.
Once dried, apply the No.6 Bond Smoother, which controls frizz and helps your hair blow dry faster with more definition. Finally, the No.7 Bonding Oil adds a lightweight shine and softness to your ends, as well as boosting colour vibrancy.

Another great haircare saving is this Redken Acidic Bonding Set, which is usually priced at £100 but is currently on sale for £60. Although you get the same number of items in the set as the Olaplex one, everything in the Redken set is full sized, including four haircare products and even a heatless curl kit to minimise damage from heat styling. The complete set includes the Concentrate Shampoo 300ml, Conditioner 300ml, Serum 100ml, Leave-In Treatment 30ml and a Heatless Curl Set.
Alternatively, you could simply snap up the K18 Leave-in Molecular Repair Hair Mask – a firm favourite amongst celebs like Sofia Richie. It’s £30 for a 15ml bottle, and the leave-in treatment helps reverse the damage caused by heat, colouring or chemical treatments, leaving it soft and smooth.
However Olaplex has plenty of die-hard fans to back up its effectiveness, with the Strong Start Hair Kit racking up more than 9,000 five star reviews. One wrote: “I have been using the No. 4 for almost a year. My hair feels wonderful, very soft.”
Whilst another agreed: “I used this on my damp, recently bleached hair, and I was pleasantly surprised with how silky my hair instantly was after I rinsed it out. When dried, it felt softer to the touch as well.”
Some found it less effective on their hair type, writing: “So far not seeing a difference in breakage but not been using for more than a month now. Hoping to see better results with longer use.”
Someone else flagged: “I love the Olaplex treatment products, however this conditioner is way too heavy for my very fine hair. I'll keep using no 1 and 3, but not this conditioner.”
However others absolutely love it, writing: “Good product. Smells so good. My hair was less frizzy if using this with the protector serum.”
