Viktor Gyokeres is set to have a massive influence on Bukayo Saka as Arsenal prepare for a crucial January transfer window decision. The Swede arrived at Emirates Stadium this past summer and currently has three goals to his name, but is on a seven-game goal drought in all competitions.
Despite that, the Gunners currently lead the Premier League table following a brilliant first seven weeks of the campaign, which saw them tackle tricky fixtures against the likes of Manchester United, Liverpool, Manchester City, and Newcastle United.
Having secured 16 points from a potential 21, Mikel Arteta's squad find themselves in an excellent position - something their displays have certainly warranted. When also considering the injury problems Arsenal have endured, it becomes even more remarkable that they've defeated every side across all competitions, apart from Liverpool and Manchester City.

Saka made his comeback from a hamstring problem during the 1-1 stalemate with the latter following a four-week absence.
The 23-year-old is currently enjoying a purple patch in front of goal, netting against Wales, West Ham United and Olympiacos over the past ten days.
His most recent effort arrived whilst on England duty and was a stunning left-footed effort from range. Following the 3-0 friendly triumph, Saka spoke about the difficulties of recent months.
"Obviously I started the season and picked up an injury, which killed me a bit but I'm starting to feel good again," he said in the mixed zone at Wembley Stadium.
"I'm still not at my sharpest, but I'm starting to feel good again and I've scored in my last three games, so I'm happy with that and want to continue in that way."
Saka, who was sidelined for over three months due to a long-term injury last season, managed 26 goal contributions compared to the previous season's 37. However, if he remains fit for the next seven months, that number could significantly increase.
According to the Daily Mail, it has been observed at Arsenal that Saka would often attract the attentions of two defenders, but now it's Gyokeres drawing the attention of multiple opponents, allowing others to make an impact.
Saka is likely to benefit most from this shift, even if it results in fewer goal actions for Gyokeres.
The report also suggests that if not for Kai Havertz's injury, Gyokeres would not have been Arsenal's undisputed starting striker, but the club are confident he will soon come good.
This belief is expected to be officially validated in early 2026 when a crucial decision regarding Gabriel Jesus is due. The Brazilian has been out for the past nine months with a serious knee injury and is still working his way back to full fitness.
With Gyokeres now part of their attacking line-up alongside Havertz, Arsenal are open to offers for Jesus in the January transfer window, as his contract expires in the summer of 2027.
