Once the fiery Page three bombshell who commanded headlines with her outsized confidence, Katie Price - who dazzled as "Jordan" - rose to become an unlikely self-made success story. With a mounting empire of TV appearances, bestselling memoirs, fashion lines, and beauty ventures, she seemed unstoppable. But as the years passed, her empire began to erode - fast.
When Katie was still riding high on her glamour model fame - met Peter Andre in 2004 on I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here!, sparks flew under the Australian jungle heat.
Viewers were glued to their flirtation, which turned into one of reality TV’s most iconic love stories. By 2005, they were married in a lavish, pink-soaked ceremony that was as extra as Katie’s personality - a full-blown tabloid extravaganza that cemented them as the UK’s ultimate celebrity power couple.

The pair became a brand. From reality shows like Katie & Peter:The Next Chapter to magazine deals, they turned their romance into a multi-million-pound empire. They welcomed two children together - Junior in 2005 and Princess Tiaamii in 2007 - while Katie also balanced motherhood with Harvey, her son from a previous relationship, whom Peter often called his own.
But behind the glossy spreads, cracks began to show. The constant cameras, controlling arguments, and relentless press attention became too much. By 2009, just four years after their whirlwind wedding, Katie and Peter called it quits - sending shockwaves through fans who thought they were forever. The split was messy, bitter, and very public, with still ongoing feuds happening.
At her peak, Price, 47, was reportedly worth as much as £40–45 million, fueled by modelling fees, book deals, and entrepreneurial ventures. Yet by 2019, mounting debts of around £3.5 million forced her into bankruptcy for the first time.
But things didn't improve: in March 2024,she declared bankruptcy again - this time over an unpaid HMRC bill of roughly £750–760,000 - and lost her notorious “Mucky Mansion” to bailiffs. Recently, her daughter Princess Andre called the Mucky Mansion a “really scary place”, and detailed some of her “bad experiences”.
Katie’s finances had been a public spectacle: court orders slashing 40% of her income from OnlyFans to aid repayment, a repossessed mansion, and even an arrest in August 2024 for missing a court appearance - her unwillingness to face legal realities shining through.
Even as her finances tumbled, Price doubled down on surgeries - opening up about feeling she "can't smile" after a £10,000 facelift in Turkey. The changing face that once symbolised glamour now began to look grotesque to many, stirring backlash. Critics even likened her appearance to a "night-time flying hazard".
Fans and reports began to describe her life as a “car crash in slow motion” - a phrase that would echo across tabloids every time she resurfaced amid another scandal.
Katie has herself admitted that "men" have been her downfall - blaming a cycle of toxic, controlling relationships for her roller-coaster life. She identified a pattern of seeking validation in romance, often leading to heartbreak, exploitation, and further financial strain. Therapy and domestic abuse courses taught her to spot red flags, a self-awareness she painfully only arrived at after rock bottom.
Katie's personal life stayed tabloid-charged. Her bitter 16-year feud with ex-husband Peter Andre has played out in courtrooms and headlines. Andre revealed their children, Princess and Junior, have lived with him since 2018 under a court order and accused Katie of spreading misinformation - claims she firmly disputed.
Their fallout turned deeply public when Price was banned from appearing on Princess’s ITV2 reality show The Princess Diaries and even excluded from her daughter’s 18th birthday - sparking a painful rift that dominated headlines.
More recently, Katie is at the centre of a new legal row with her ex-husbands over a planned tell-all documentary. The show, due to air next year, is set to spill the beans on her relationships, according to TV insiders.
A source said: “They feel like they have been backed into a corner and have no choice. They just want her to stop trashing them, and can’t believe she is being given a platform.” It comes after Katie was left unable to complete basic functions after latest facial surgeries.
In interviews, she says she’s in a better mental state now, refusing to be “gaslighted or bullied” in her ongoing custody battles, including after smears from Peter.
