Emmerdale fans 'solve' who Gabby ends up with ahead of wedding - but it's not Vinny

There was some happy news on for one couple this week with an engagement.

But viewers do not think the couple will last, and that a sad split, and a betrayal, could be on the cards. Vinny Dingle spontaneously popped the question to his now fiancée Gabby Thomas this week after fears of a split being on the cards.

Vinny had lashed out at Gabby and claimed he did not want to be a dad to her young son Thomas Tate. She was alarmed, but soon she heard him out and realised what Vinny was actually struggling with.

As Vinny talked of not feeling good enough and not being able to give Gabby and Thomas the life they deserved, the pair became closer than ever. With that Vinny asked her to marry him and she said yes, before they told their loved ones.

The pair said "when you know you know" in terms of it feeling right, despite some confusion and concern from their relatives. With that the newly engaged couple were celebrating, with a wedding set to be on the cards.

But some viewers are convinced the couple will not make it down the aisle, especially with two other couples already planning their own big days. Some fans think Gabby might end up cheating on Vinny with an ex or another villager.

Other fans felt the pair did not match, while many viewers were thrilled to see the new storyline for the couple. A number of fans began to speculate though that Gabby was set to move on with someone else, and it would be this person she stayed with for the foreseeable.

Fans think that amid another couple splitting on the show, Gabby will end up with someone currently experiencing heartbreak. Billy Fletcher was dumped by his wife Dawn Taylor in a recent episode, amid her secret affair with Joe Tate.

She called time on their marriage leaving him devastated with her plan to be she would move on with Joe. She even advised Gabby about her romance with Vinny, suggesting that he was not her type in terms of who she would go for, reminding her of the type of man she would once date.

Seemingly trying to encourage Gabby to find someone else, fans wondered if Gabby would end up doing so - and that maybe she and Billy would get together after his split from Dawn. The other theory was that her ex and the father of her son Jamie Tate would return.

While Gabby hates Jamie, some fans think she will end up getting back with him in the hope of becoming "lady of the manor" at Home Farm. Taking to social media one fan said: "I hope they don't put Billy with Gabby," speculating this might be on the cards.

Another fan said: "Dawn probably just wants to push Gabby on Billy so she then can have Joe," as a third added: "Gabby always fancied Billy she tried to kiss him once." Others also named Billy as who Gabby will end up with while some named Jamie.

One fan said: "Maybe Jamie," as a second said: "Probably be Jamie." A third added: "I'm thinking it is JAMIE TATE," while a fourth wrote: "It’ll be Jamie."
