Aston Villa's Ollie Watkins weds Ellie Alderson in glam city ceremony with close friends

Aston Villa's Ollie Watkins married Ellie Alderson on Sunday in glamorous ceremony, surrounded by friends. The pair, who share two children, look delighted to be man and wife in snaps shared on posted on Ellie's account in which the bride looks fabulous.

Sporting a floor length sleeveless white lace gown with her hair tied back, revealing elegant make-up, Ellie captioned a photo of her and "Legally Mrs Watkins". In other snaps shared from her big day, the bride holds her bouquet along with a cream Chanel handbag and is joined by Ollie and her sister before heading to the ceremony.

The couple can also be seen posing for photos outside the iconic venue as well as very glamourous shots inside Marylebone Town Hall in London, including one in which Ellie's sister, Sofia Alderson has captioned: "The most special day ever watching my best friend and sister marry her love."

In another photo, silver balloons spelling out 'The Watkins' can be seen hanging above the couple's bed in their bridal suite.

The couple's photographer, , also shared a few photos of the special day, writing: "What an absolute honour it was to be asked to shoot the Watkins’ legal ceremony in London over the weekend at the Iconic Marylebone Town Hall."

Ellie and Ollie first started dating in 2018, and have since gone on to welcome two children together.

They welcomed their first child, Amber in September 2021, and Marley in April 2023. Ellie announced that they were having their second child in November 2022, sharing a sweet video from their family holiday and showing off her growing baby bump. She captioned it with: "Another member pending.

Following his Euros success in 2024, in which Ollie secured England's place in the final against Spain, Ellie gushed on Instagram: "You got your moment and you took it!!!!! I am soooo proud of you."

Ollie had played a key role in England's run to the final, scoring a nail-biting last minute winner in their semi-final victory over the Netherlands.

Ellie followed him to Germany among a host of other WAGs and was an avid supporter in the stands during the tournament.

After the Euros, Ollie got down on one knee and proposed to Ellie in Lake Como, captioning a photo of the pair on Instagram: "Future wifey" to which Ellie replied: "Love you soo much."
