Bhopal (Madhya Pradesh): A case of attempted murder was reported in Jahangirabad area of Bhopal, where unknown people stabbed a young man with a knife, as reported by police on Saturday.
The incident took place on Friday afternoon at around 3 pm when two unknown youths appeared on a bike and attacked young man in the middle of the road.
According to information, the victim was identified as Sahil Siddiqui (34). He lodged a complaint about this incident with the Jahangirabad police. Police have registered a case against two unknown people in this matter.
Attack on asking the reason for blowing the horn
Sources said, at the time of incident, Sahil was headed to Unani Safa Khana from Charak Hospital on his motorcycle.
As soon as he reached near Madina Dairy in Peepal Wali Gali, two youths on a bike arrived from behind blowing a loud horn. When Sahil asked the reason for blowing the horn, the accused started abusing him.
The matter escalated and one of the youths stabbed Sahil on the back with a knife.
An injured Sahil was taken to the police station by local resident Pramanshu Shukla, where a report was lodged. From here, police sent him to Hampi hospital.
Accused paraded publicly
Jahangirabad police have arrested the accused Saif and Anas Khan who attacked Sahil Siddiqui within 24 hours.
Police also took out a procession of both the accused in Jahangirabad area on Saturday.
On Sahil's complaint, the police had registered a case against the accused and started investigation.
Accused Saif is a resident of Baba Farid Gali in Jahangirabad, while Anas is hails from Ahir Mohalla.
Several criminal cases including 7 cases of assault and stabbing are already registered against Saif , whereas, 3 cases are against Anas.
