The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has officially announced the names of its remaining 22 district presidents in Maharashtra, concluding the appointment process across all districts in the state. Earlier, the party had released the list of 58 district presidents. However, the announcement of the remaining names was delayed due to internal disagreements and local political equations.
After resolving differences and achieving coordination between the state and central leadership, the BJP has now finalized and declared the names of the remaining district presidents. The decision comes at a critical time, with the upcoming local body elections in the state.
=Two days ago, an important meeting was held at the residence of Deputy Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis to discuss the pending appointments. The meeting was attended by BJP National General Secretary Ashok Singh, Co-Organization Secretary Shivprakash, and Maharashtra State BJP President Chandrashekhar Bawankule.
Among the newly announced names are:
-
Gyanmurti Sharma for North West Mumbai
Neeraj Ubhare for South Central Mumbai
Mrs. Shalaka Salvi for South Mumbai
The announcement also includes appointments in key districts like Nashik, Ahmednagar, and Beed, signaling the BJP’s preparedness for the local electoral battles ahead.
