Ingredients

200 grams fine vermicelli
50 grams roasted peanuts
100 grams of beans
2 carrots, finely chopped


2 onions, finely chopped
2 tomato puree

1 cup peas
1 teaspoon turmeric powder
1 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon urad dal
4 teaspoons refined oil
1 teaspoon mustard seeds
1 teaspoon cumin seeds
4 green chillies
8-10 curry leaves

Recipe

- First of all, finely chop the onion, tomato, beans, and carrot. Now grind the tomato and make a puree.

- Place a pan on the gas and add vermicelli to it, and fry till it turns golden. After this, take out the roasted vermicelli and keep it in a plate.

- Now put some oil in the pan and heat it. Now add urad dal, mustard seeds, and cumin seeds and fry. After this, add green chillies and curry leaves.

- Then add chopped onion to it and fry for some time. When the onion is fried well, add turmeric and salt to it. Now mix it.
- After this, add chopped carrots, peas, and let it cook for some time. After some time, add tomato puree and two cups of water. Now let it boil.
- Finally add vermicelli and mix well and let it cook for at least 10 minutes. When its water dries up and the vermicelli becomes soft, then turn off the gas.
- Now add green chillies and roasted peanuts and mix well. In this way, vermicelli upma is ready. It can be served with tea or chutney.
