For the academic session 2025-26, the UP government has set a timetable for the setting up of new colleges and institutions and starting new Undergraduate and Post-graduate courses in the existing colleges, besides B.Ed. courses.
According to this timetable, the last date for submitting online no-objection proposals for new courses in the universities is set as December 15, 2024.
Apart from this, the deadlines have also been set for the verification of the land records and the completion of different processes, including inspection reports.
Higher education minister Yogendra Upadhyay said that the verification of land records will be completed by the Revenue department between December 16, 2024, and January 20, 2025.
No-objection proposals, which will be received, will be forwarded to the District Magistrate concerned for the verification within seven days. The release added the verification report must be submitted online to the university concerned within a month. The no-objection orders will be issued online by January 31, 2025.
Any appeal against any university's decision can be submitted to the government by February 10, 2025. The deadline for the disposal of such an appeal is set as February 20, 2025.
“Applications for the formation of the Inspection Board must be submitted by February 28, 2025, and the board will be constituted by the university by March 5, 2025. The inspection report is to be submitted by April 5, 2025, with affiliation to be granted by April 20, 2025. Any appeals related to affiliation will be resolved by May 31, 2025,” the release further mentioned.
Principal Secretary MP Aggarwal has directed the Registrars of all state universities to thoroughly verify land-related records, including “Khatauni” and “Sanyuktata Praman Patra”.
The presence of experts and the member secretary will be mandatory for the constitution of the Inspection Board. inspection dates will be displayed on the portal.
If an inspection does not occur on the scheduled date, the application may be rejected. Besides, an annual record of the conduct of panel members will be maintained.
