He amassed 177 runs in four innings at an impressive average of 88.50 and a strike rate of 153.91, which included a brilliant unbeaten century (110*). He scored 186 runs in five innings at a staggering strike rate of 151.21, including two half-centuries, with a top score of 85. Though not always consistent, his contributions came at crucial junctures of the elite T20 tournament, especially his partnership with Morne van Wyk in the semi-final against Australia Champions, which played a key role in taking AB de Villiers-led side to the summit clash against Pakistan Champions.
1. AB de Villiers (South Africa Champions)South Africa captain AB de Villiers was in a league of his own throughout the tournament, finishing as the highest run-scorer of WCL 2025. In the next game against England Champions, he produced an unbeaten 116 off 51 balls, sharing a record-breaking opening partnership with Hashim Amla that powered South Africa Champions to a commanding win.
Continuing his red-hot form, de Villiers hammered 123 off just 46 balls against the Australia Champions in the group stage.
