Kanya Pujan on Ashtami and Navami: Know the Auspicious Timings and Significance

The Ashtami and Navami days of Navratri hold great importance in Hindu traditions. Important Rituals for Kanya Pujan

On the day of Kanya Pujan, respectfully invite young girls to your home, and also invite a young boy (Langura). Wash their feet with reverence, perform the pujan, and then serve them a meal. Finally, offer them gifts and Dakshina (monetary offerings), while chanting praises of Maa Durga. During Ashtami and Navami, it is also recommended to chant the Durga Stuti Mantra to receive Maa Durga’s blessings.

“या देवी सर्वभूतेषु मातृरुपेण संस्थिता।
या देवी सर्वभूतेषु शक्तिरुपेण संस्थिता।।
या देवी सर्वभूतेषु शान्तिरुपेण संस्थिता।
