Doda (Jammu & Kashmir) [India], October 31 (ANI): Doda Deputy Commissioner Harvinder Singh visited Government Medical College (GMC) Hospital in Doda on Diwali to review its overall functioning.
"We jointly reviewed the functioning of GMC, addressing the challenges faced by both patients and doctors. We also discussed the hospital's image and areas for improvement. Establishing GMC Doda has been a significant achievement for this region," said Harvinder Singh.
He added that GMC Doda is an evolving facility, with the administration working to provide comprehensive services.
"There are many buildings still under construction, limited staff, and inadequate space, particularly in patient wards. Despite these constraints, our doctors are doing commendable work. We frequently receive issues from the community, and we address them as they arise," he noted.
Singh also expressed concern over recurring complaints about improper patient care at GMC Doda, urging medical staff to remain vigilant or face disciplinary action.
As District Development Commissioner, Harvinder Singh is tasked with ensuring the administration of Doda district meets community needs.
GMC Doda Hospital serves as a vital healthcare provider in the region, and such visits by officials help uphold accountability and quality standards. (ANI)
