Kannada Superstar Upendra Confirms Aamir Khan's Massy Cameo in Rajinikanth's 'Coolie'

Last year, it was reported that Aamir Khan will have a cameo in Rajinikanth starrer mass action entertainer Coolie directed by Lokesh Kanagaraj.

The film also stars Kannada superstar Upendra, Telugu superstar Nagarjuna and Malayalam actor Soubin Shahir.

Earlier, Lokesh Kanagaraj was asked about Aamir Khan’s cameo in the film but he refused to reveal any details about the same.

Later, a picture of Aamir Khan with Upendra had gone viral on social media.

Now, the Kannada superstar himself has confirmed Aamir Khan’s cameo in the film as he revealed that he shot with the Bollywood superstar as well as Rajinikanth together.

It so happened that Upendra was in Mumbai with fellow Kannada superstar Dr Shiv Raj Kumar for their upcoming film 45 teaser launch.

During the event, Upendra was asked about Coolie and he said, “I did not ask him anything but when Lokesh (Kanagaraj) garu told me the story. All I said was it's enough even if I get to stand next to him (Rajinikanth) for a few minutes. Because if I'm Ekalavya, he's my Dronacharya. If he gave everyone entertainment, he gave me enlightenment. Rajini sir is like that, and I'm blessed to have worked with him.”

When he was asked about filming with Aamir and Nagarjuna, he replied, “Yeah yeah, we have combination scenes together.”

Coolie’s Big Box Office Clash

The highly anticipated Tamil film is releasing in theatres on August 14, 2025. Interestingly, another film starring Upendra — 45 is also releasing on the same day.

That’s not all, Hrithik Roshan and NTR Jr’s War 2 is also coming out on the same day.
