All mobile users are bothered by calls and messages from telemarketers. When you leave an important task and answer the call only to discover it's a spam call, it's very frustrating. There's an easy way to avoid this situation. You can get rid of all such calls and messages by sending a message. To do this, you need to register your number in the Do Not Disturb (DND) registry. After this, you will stop receiving such calls and messages.
What's the method?
You can block calls from telemarketers by following a few simple steps. You can also block messages. To do this, you first need to visit your service provider's website. Go to the DND section and enter your number. Enter the OTP received and block promotional calls and messages. If you're a Jio user, you can also do this through the app.
Block via SMS
If you don't want to activate DND through the website or app, SMS is another option. Send START 0 to 1909 from your registered mobile number. If you still receive a spam or marketing call, include the UCC, the caller, and the date/month. Replace "caller" with the number from which you received the call.
You can also block via phone
If you find it cumbersome to block spam calls through the website or SMS, you can simply call 1909. Follow the instructions on the call, and DND will be activated on your number within a short time, stopping spam calls and messages.
