BPSC LDC Mains Exam: Bihar Public Service Commission (BPSC), Patna, has made a big change in the recruitment process for the posts of Lower Division Clerk (LDC). The Commission has informed that by canceling the earlier proposed preliminary examination, it has now been decided to conduct the main (objective) written competitive examination directly, which will be conducted on 20 September 2025.
Now only the main examination will be conducted.
According to the new information released by the commission, the candidates will not need to take the preliminary examination. Instead, a single-stage main objective examination will be conducted, in which eligible candidates will be selected. This change has been made as per clause 6 of the advertisement issued by the commission.
Amendment made to the information of July 4
In this regard, the Commission has said that the important information issued on July 4, 2025, has now been changed. Candidates have been advised to go to the official website of BPSC and read all the information related to the new examination carefully.
Selection will be done on so many posts.
Bihar Public Service Commission started the online application process for recruitment to Lower Division Clerk (LDC) posts in Patna from 8 July 2025, which lasted till 29 July 2025. During this, interested and eligible candidates filled out the application form by visiting the official website of the commission. This recruitment drive aims to fill 26 vacancies.
In this recruitment process, Rs 150 was charged from SC/ST/Female/Divyang (PwD) category candidates, while Rs 600 was charged from candidates of all other categories. Candidates deposited this fee through online mode.
