According to , Tuchel's divorce and new relationship were discussed in the dressing room - and it's claimed some players even changed their perception of the gaffer.

Tuchel married his wife Sissi back in 2009, when he was living and working in Germany, and the couple had two daughters, Emma and Kim.

Sissi, a journalist, reportedly quit her job at the German newspaper Süddeutsche Zeitung to raise their family.

She moved to the UK in August in 2021, several months after her husband got the Chelsea job, and they bought a house together near the club's training ground in Cobham, Surrey.

It was believed that Sissi had a big say on his career choices and gave valuable advice when he was offered managerial jobs.

When he left Dortmund in 2017, Tuchel's wife reportedly went to Paris to find a place for them to live ahead of his appointment at .

But she rarely attended his teams' matches, making her first appearance at an English fixture at the 2021 final at Wembley, where Chelsea lost to City.

Their marriage broke down, and in 2022, it was reported they had separated after 13 years together, with court documents showing Sissi filing for divorce on the grounds of irreconcilable differences.

"Sissi and Thomas have tried to avoid splitting, but in the end, there was no other way," a source told the

"It is very sad and now it is all about making sure their daughters are the top priority. Papers were lodged last week to get the divorce underway."

The former couple have completed their divorce, which was granted at London's High Court. Sissi got confirmation from Mr Justice Mostyn that Tuchel had behaved in such a way that Mrs Tuchel could not reasonably be expected to stay with him.

As for Tuchel, he moved on with new partner Natalie Max, a Brazilian mum-of-two who is 13 years younger than the xx-year-old former Blues boss.

Natalie states that her favourite meal to cook for the family is a sunday Roast and three things she always has in her bag when out with the kids are "wipes, water and credit card".

At the end of July 2022, Tuchel and his new gilfriend were pictured enjoying a holiday in Sardinia at a £20,000-a-night private villa.

He flew straight there after returning from Chelsea's pre-season tour of the USA, and they were seen relaxing on the beach, swimming and eating lunch in a hotel restaurant before getting a boat to the island of Caprera.

A source told the Sun that the duo "held hands at every opportunity", while another remarked that they look "very much in love".

Tuchel, who hails from Bavaria, began to carve out his path in coaching after being forced to cut short his lower-level playing days by a knee injury in his mid-20s.

He started as an academy coach at fourth-tier SSV Ulm, progressing to Stuttgart Under-19s and further roles with Augsburg and Mainz before becoming first-team boss at the latter in 2009.

It was there he proved himself as one of German football’s brightest young coaches, establishing the newly promoted club in the Bundesliga with a highest placing of fifth and taking them into Europe.

He succeeded at Borussia Dortmund in 2015 and took them to cup success before going on to win Ligue 1 twice and reach a final in charge of Paris St Germain.

He went one better and won Europe’s top club prize with Chelsea in 2021 and also scooped up the Club World Cup before winning the Bundesliga with Bayern in 2023.

Detractors may have concerns about how his last three jobs ended, with clear disharmony between Tuchel and the hierarchies at both PSG and Chelsea, while results tailed off at Bayern amid reported dressing room unrest.
