Steven Gerrard inundated with support after sharing heartfelt family update

Steven Gerrard was flooded with support as he shared a special family update. The former Liverpool FC captain regularly shares updates from his happy family life on Instagram.

The Reds icon has been since 2007 and they are the proud parents of Lilly, Lexie, Lourdes, and Lio. Gerrard shared some photos of his youngest daughter in a post shared with his 11.6m followers.

He said: "Happy birthday Lourdes have a lovely day. We love you so much. Welcome to your teenage years". also took to his Instagram Story to share a snap from his final game in a red shirt when he was joined by his daughters on the pitch. He said, alongside a tearful an: "And just like that she is 13. Happy birthday Lourdes."

Alex Gerrard shared a series of heart emojis in the comments. Gerrard's former teammates also took to the comments to wish Lourdes well on her special day. Jamie Carragher said: "HBD Lourdes." Robbie Keane added: "Happy birthday."

Ex Liverpool FC goalkeeping coach, John Achterberg, who now works with Gerrard at Al-Ettifaq, said: "Happy birthday, have a great day."

Gerrard's two other daughters regularly shares updates on their social media pages.

Lexie has taken to her page to share her message to Lourdes. She expressed: "Happy 13th birthday to my little sis. We can't believe you're a little teenager. Hope you have the best day with all your friends. We love you lots."

Lilly also posted a message on her social media page, telling her 205,000 followers: "Happy birthday to my lil sis. Love you so so much. Hope you have a special day gorgeous, sassy girlie.".
