BBC Strictly Come Dancing legend delights fans as they 'confirm' surprise return

Fans of would have been delighted by news of a professional dancer's return.

As the stars get ready to wow on Fright Night on the contest, viewers were treated to the news that former legend is set to return. He joined the show in 2013 and remained until 2019, having won the show alongside in series 16. Their partnership continued into real life too, with the duo now sharing young daughter Minnie together.

Now, despite previously saying he was to embark on a new chapter, the 42-year-old has returned to the programme. He shared the news on his Stories as he uploaded a clip of him inside the studio.

There was no caption on the upload, leaving fans pondering what it could mean. The upload showed off this week's epic Halloween decoration with a number of creepy designs on show. The former star has been keeping a close eye on the show and said last week on /X he was ready to catch up with the latest action.

Some users however were quick to tell the star it hadn't been the same without him following his Instagram "reveal".

In 2021, Kevin shared inside knowledge from his time on the show. He also hinted that one of the professionals on the show had "made it obvious" that they didn't like their celebrity partner in a resurfaced interview. Spilling the beans on his podcast with his sister, Kevin slammed someone, who he claimed had been incredibly vocal about their celebrity pairing.

Speaking on the podcast: "It doesn't happen very often, [but] I have seen it. I won't name names, but I have seen it from someone who was not happy with their pairing and they made it quite obvious."

Last week's Strictly saw the . The duo faced a dance off against JB Gill and Amy Dowden. However, their Samba to Rose Royce's car wash wasn't enough to save them from the boot following their low-scoring 19 after their initial dance.

As part of this week's show, the remaining 11 pairs of contestants taking on the Halloween theme have teased their routines. Among them are comedian Chris McCausland and his partner Dianne Buswell who will perform a Samba to Stayin’ Alive by the Bee Gees. JLS star JB Gill and Amy Dowden will also treat fans to the Foxtrot to Dancing In The Moonlight by Toploader.

Elsewhere, reality star and Jowita Przystal will perform a Viennesse Waltz to That’s Life by Frank Sinatra, while star and Michelle Tsiakkas will be dancing the American Smooth to The Addams Family theme song.
