The France international joined Liverpool on loan from Paris Saint-Germain and bagged four goals in 20 appearances in the 2001-2002 campaign. The journeyman moved to , Fenerbahce, and Bolton before joining Chelsea in 2008 for £15 million ($20 million), where he would last four seasons.

Yossi Benayoun

Benayoun was a key part of Rafa Benitez's Liverpool squad from 2007-2010 before joining Chelsea for £5.5 million ($8 million). He would last just one season with the Blues before being loaned out for the remainder of his contract.

Fabio Borini

The one-capped Italian international joined Chelsea as a promising teenager all the way back in the summer of 2009. He managed just four appearances for the London outfit before embarking on a nomadic career. He found his way to Liverpool in 2012 after a strong stint at Roma but scored just twice in 25 games for the Reds.

Cole is most known as a Chelsea player, featuring 183 times for the Blues from 2003-2010 while winning three Premier Leagues. He joined Liverpool as a 28-year-old in 2010 and was well past his best, symbolizing the Reds' poor period of Liverpool transfers.

Glen Johnson

Johnson was the first purchase by former Chelsea owner Roman Abramovich back in 2003. He was in and out of the team before joining Portsmouth in 2007 and Liverpool in 2009. He lasted on Merseyside until 2015.

Raul Miereles

The Portuguese international spent just two seasons in the Premier League: 2010-11 with Liverpool and 2011-12 with Chelsea. He was suspended for the 2012 Champions League Final but still took home a winners medal.

Solanke joined Liverpool on a tribunal in 2017 from Chelsea. He famously failed to score for the Reds until the last day of the Premier League season and was sold to Bournemouth in January 2019.

Raheem Sterling

The England international was arguably Liverpool finest teenage sensation of the last twenty years (aside from Trent Alexander-Arnold). He earned a £50 million ($65 million) move to Manchester City in 2015 and after winning practically every major trophy, joined Chelsea in 2022.

Daniel Sturridge

Sturridge joined Liverpool in the winter of 2013 partially because he couldn't secure a spot in Chelsea's first team. He started hot for the Reds but injuries eventually slowed the dynamic striker.

Fernando Torres

Torres is known as one of the worst Premier League transfers of all time... but not to Liverpool. The Spaniard scored 65 goals for the Reds before selling him to Chelsea for £50 million ($65 million). He would score just 20 goals in 110 appearances for the London club, though he did find the net against Barcelona in the 2012 Champions League semifinals.

Boudewijn Zenden

"Bolo Zendon" was a pre-Abramovic signing at Chelsea who was sold in 2004. He joined Liverpool a year later but knee injuries slowed the Dutch international.
